Payment Policy

This Payment Policy explains how payments are processed on the PlayBeam online shop.

1) Accepted Payment Methods

We currently accept Visa and Mastercard debit/credit cards. All card payments are processed securely and are PCI DSS compliant.

2) Currency & Pricing

Prices are shown in GBP (£). For convenience we may display prices in other currencies; the final amount charged may still settle in GBP depending on your card issuer and selected method. Your bank may apply its own exchange rate and fees. Any currency selector is for guidance only.

3) Taxes & VAT (UK)

Orders delivered within the UK are subject to UK VAT. The exact tax amount will be displayed at checkout and on your invoice/receipt.

4) Authorisation & Charge Capture

When you place an order, your bank may place a temporary authorisation on your card. We capture the payment when the order is accepted for processing. If an order cannot be fulfilled, any authorisation hold will be released by your bank in line with their timelines.

5) 3-D Secure & Fraud Prevention

We may require additional verification (e.g., 3-D Secure / Strong Customer Authentication). Orders flagged for review may be delayed or cancelled if verification fails or appears fraudulent.

6) Accurate Billing Information

Please ensure your billing name, address and card details are correct. We may cancel or place orders on hold if billing information cannot be validated by your card issuer (AVS/CSC checks).

7) Payment Confirmation & Invoice

After a successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation by email. Your invoice/receipt will be sent automatically and available in your account area (if registered).

8) Declined or Failed Payments

If your payment is declined, please contact your card issuer first. You may then retry checkout or use a different card. We cannot reserve inventory for failed transactions.

9) Refunds, Chargebacks & Disputes

Refunds (where applicable) are issued to the original payment method. If you dispute a charge with your bank (chargeback), please also contact us so we can assist and provide order records to the card network if required.

10) Pricing Errors & Corrections

In case of an obvious pricing error, we are not obliged to accept the order at the incorrect price. We will contact you and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund (if already paid).

11) Promotions, Vouchers & Gift Cards

Promotional codes must be entered at checkout and are subject to individual terms (expiry, exclusions, one-time use). Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot be combined and have no cash value.
